Do you bike to work in Boston? Do you often wonder when the heck the roads on your commute are going to get fixed? Do you love good, bicycle-friendly street designs, and want to see what’s happening to bring more of that to Boston? Do you not care about any of this but just want an excuse to drink with your bike friends on a Friday night?

Our own Preston Buehrer is a newly-minted Cat 1 road racer, and has been living & riding in Boston for the last decade. He and his wife, Lydia Hausle–also an elite road racer–have dedicated their big engineering brains to solving some of the hardest urban design problems in New England at Toole Design Group.
As our teammate, Preston has hinted at bits and pieces of his job in race parking lots, post-race burrito shops and bonfires throughout New England, each time leaving us curious about something that impacts us all so universally. Come get a glimpse inside what really goes into making our chaotic city streets more bike-friendly as Preston gives us a brief presentation on his work as a Transportation Engineer.
